Understanding the importance of staff well-being, the client extended their building to create a new staff canteen breakout space.
Elm Workspaces were delighted to be working with the client as lead designers for the project. The priority in the brief was to create an environment for staff that ensures that they feel valued whilst providing spaces for them to recharge and disconnect from pressures, spaces that will nurture a sense of community and spaces that inspire innovation and drive productivity.
By providing various engaging zones Elm Workspaces were able to cater for many requirements. Furnishing an area with soft seating and a slightly darker floor created a cosy coffee shop feel. Banquette seating for groups, in a brighter, naturally lit, floor area was also created, whilst varying the dining options with a mix of dinning and poseur height tables, we were able to meet the needs for all staff. The main serving counter is a bespoke design, designed by Elm Workplaces and highlighting the recycling area and installing a condiment unit, encourages ethical thinking and practice.
For the final details and to bind the scheme together, Elm Workspaces specified the furniture and products to enhance the space and create an impact for staff which is why our Relic Cloud collaboration table, Relic table, and Scandi chairs, including the finishes, were carefully selected. The artwork and pendant lighting perfectly compliments the space and the moss panels and signage deliver a wow factor and a space for the staff to enjoy.

Relic Cloud is available in a variety of units, including longer and more varied landscapes, and is available in both dining and poseur heights. Fully integrated cable management supports tidy workspaces aspirations, along with power and data options to keep devices connected. Mobile versions are also available in specific sizes for easy rearrangement, and mesh hanging trays provide multiple fixing points for better organization.
Relic and Relic Cloud are complimented by the Scandi Chair, thanks to its elegant, timeless, and comfortable design to effortlessly complete the aesthetic.
