After visiting the Maison & Object exhibition in Paris in 2018, David King and Matthew Coules embarked on a journey designed to challenge traditional opinions and conventions to disrupt the collaboration table market, by designing a human centric and progressive piece that the industry hadn’t seen before.
Inspired, motivated and full of ideas, they had a clear vision for what they wanted the design to achieve.

Customer Centric Design
Created to provide customers with a better way to collaborate, our Relic Cloud collection pioneered a never seen before design that has now been imitated many times. At the heart of Relic Clouds design is creating an experience that encourages colleagues to come together to collaborate or socialise in a semi-enclosed environment thanks to the canopy.
The addition of biophilic accessories naturally creates a calming environment by softening the industrial look by drawing the eye to the planting and lowering the internal space of the Relic Cloud helping to encourage periods of prolonged concentration.
The industrial look and feel through the raw framework is supported by the large worksurface and innovative functionality including built in power and data ports and integrated cable management (as standard across all sizes/formats) enables users to come together comfortably and focus.
Listening to our customers – The launch of Compact Relic Cloud
As part of the research phase we undertake for all our product developments, we track, monitor and record changes in the needs and behaviors of users and the constantly evolving workplace landscape. This approach is crucial for our designers as it allows us to identify early how the needs of users morph over time, helping us to make intelligent decisions that benefits the users of our products.
As part of our research, we listen to our customers. You have told us there is an increasing demand on modern working environments creating a greater need for both smaller individual collaboration tables where space is a premium, and longer more continual tables in unconventionally shaped rooms.
Armed with this information, just like in 2018, we created the Compact Relic Cloud collection in 2024. With a smaller footprint at just 2100 x 900mm makes it an ideal solution for smaller collaborative areas, or where creativity, collaboration, and teamwork is paramount.
But our ambitions did not stop there. At the same time, we also introduced a wider 4200 x 900 “double” option, made up of two tables side by side, but in one complete unit, making it significantly more cost effective than ordering two independent tables. The compact and wider options are available in both dining and poseur heights, and uniquely to Frovi, a “drop height” design that encompasses both table heights in one complete format.
All sizes and formats can be made mobile thanks to optional castors and a lightweight yet robust frame making repositioning a quick and effortless task.

Furthermore, the price point is significantly more appealing than replicas on the market so customers and their clients can be safe in the knowledge that our more affordable additions are all are made from the same robust, durable materials as designers originally intended.
