When Darktrace, a leading cybersecurity firm based in London, relocated its New York office to the 47th floor of One Manhattan West, the company seized the opportunity to redefine its workspace. The move not only tripled the office size but also allowed Darktrace to infuse its brand identity into a modern environment tailored to its evolving hybrid workforce. To achieve this, Corgan’s Interiors Studio was tasked with transforming the expansive floor plan into a blend of focused workstations, open collaborative zones, and spacious meeting areas—fostering teamwork, creativity, and connection. The resulting design is future-ready, offering a rich array of amenities that attract both clients and in-house hybrid workers.
European Aesthetic with a New York Flair
Darktrace sought a distinctive style that would combine London sophistication with Scandinavian minimalism, all while reflecting the vibrancy of New York City. The building’s architectural features, including column-free floor plates, soaring ceilings, and sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows, naturally illuminated the space, creating an inviting and airy atmosphere. The reception area sets the tone with a hospitality-style coffee bar and a comfortable lounge, featuring warm wood tones, a neutral color palette, and bold angular lines that echo the company’s logo. Modern industrial lighting and baffle ceilings further enhance the sophisticated yet relaxed, loft-inspired aesthetic. Beyond the secure entry, plush seating areas offer breathtaking views of Manhattan’s up-and-coming west side, providing a direct connection to the dynamic urban environment.

Understanding the diverse needs of its employees, Darktrace’s new office offers a variety of workspaces tailored to different modes of work. Private phone booths cater to focused tasks, while high-topped tables and smaller lounge areas facilitate casual conversations and collaboration. Designated collaborative zones, equipped with cutting-edge technology, support project work with a mix of open worktables, lounge seating, and bench arrangements that encourage team interaction. The office also features elevated meeting spaces, with metal and glass-fronted offices and large conference rooms capable of accommodating up to 24 people—ideal for training sessions, client meetings, and team collaborations.
