Introducing Isle

Isle was created by our in-house design team to help fulfill the need for a softer more domestic feel to modern-day commercial furniture design. Crafted from a single natural material its clean lines, soft edges, and unique detailing, the Isle table elegantly combines luxury and simplicity.
Our research continually identifies the workplace is evolving into spaces where people come together more frequently – collaborating and sharing ideas, whilst moving away from independent or isolated work, and with the ever-growing popularity of homely aesthetics in the office, we’ve designed a suite of tables that showcase the best of residential style that could be incorporated within the workplace.

As a statement table system, Isle has an honest, playful character with a true expression for simplicity. By only using ash, the single natural material is visible throughout Isle’s silhouette which brings a softness to the surrounding space, meaning it’s suited as a statement piece or as a canvas to build the space and aesthetic of a room around.

The solid ash provides a hardwearing structure that can easily withstand the demands of busy office environments, whilst its texture helps create a calm and tranquil atmosphere. Its hexagonal and rounded ends promote inclusivity and social interaction whilst the concealed cable management and hidden power ports make it functional for everyday use.

Ranging from 1.2 to 4.2 meters, Isle has been designed to be used in a variety of commercial environments, and due to the variety of the sizes and its sturdy base, we envisage the larger options being used in boardrooms, open plan offices, higher education settings, or hotel lobbies to welcome guests. The smaller 1.2-meter option is ideal for quick, informal meetings or to visually complement the larger sizes.

The Story of Sail

Our designers are constantly researching how we can improve our portfolio and it became clear we had an opportunity to create a refined, simple and contemporary booth into the range.
Naturally at home throughout most office environments, booths are also swiftly becoming the perfect addition to hotel lobbies, high-end education settings, and airport lounges thanks to their privacy and acoustic benefits. They can however be quite boxy and stylised. This is where our designers began sketching and conceptualising an elegant alternative design.

Challenging themselves to create a refined, yet contemporary design, they’ve created a booth that would fit a vast array of spaces and environments. The soft edges, continuous curved corners, and simplicity create a welcoming space to enjoy. The angled entrance was a considered element by our designers, as it creates an inviting entrance that allows easy access when being used as a booth or offers privacy but not complete segregation as a sofa pod. The generous side panels provide acoustic privacy without it feeling claustrophobic or overbearing for users.

Introducing Bae

The Bae has a stylish modular design, allowing for limitless configurations and complete optimisation of your space with the variety of units, meaning you can transform any space into a place of comfort and relaxation.

Bae can be used in a vast open space or a small breakout zone, due to the soft organic shape of each of the five units, allowing for endless configurations. The units can be easily linked together to create a breath-taking statement piece, weaving through a large atrium space. The flexibility of Bae also allows for the creation of separate conversational islands, paired with a coffee table and statement armchair, to create an intimate lounge space. With sustainability always considered when designing new products. Bae has been designed for disassembly, including replaceable cushion covers, a recyclable wooden frame and a pressed bamboo baseboard, a highly sustainable material. Meaning with its skeletal timber form and side-pressed bamboo baseboard, the Bae is a sustainable option for commercial spaces.

With Bae’s simple and relaxed design provides the perfect spot for casual conversations or taking a quick break. Adjustable ash wooden feet make the Bae fully customisable to suit the layout of any space.

The Bae has been designed to blend seamlessly with our two other new releases; Peggy and Bamboo shelving system, particularly the new curved range. Now you can create a functional and beautiful environment with both a comfortable sofa solution, a space to work with efficient office storage options.

A look back at 2022

Another year is nearly over, and another fantastic twelve months for Frovi!
We’ve experienced so many highs this year. From the opening of our showroom to the launch of several new furniture pieces, the year has been a pleasant mix of innovation, productivity, and exhilaration!
What have we learnt this year? Well, it’s clearly apparent that flexible and sustainable workspaces have moved beyond a ‘trend’, and are firmly here to stay. As organisations explore new ways of supporting the wellbeing of their workforce, it’s become more important than ever for offices to offer that extra spark, with a firmly embedded human touch. As a result, we’ve focussed this year on continuing  to bring you new and exciting products with a view to humanising your workspace and easing the transition from home-working back into comfortable, welcoming office spaces. We really hope that you love them as much as we do!
We continually thrive to remain up-to-date with our designs, and our commitment to sustainability goes from strength to strength. During the summer months, we brought you five new ranges that embraced current trends and modern office requirements.

From concept to creation… the Trost chair

Modern, flexible workspaces have generated a need for attractive, hybrid chairs that boast comfort while remaining easy to maneuver within busy environments.
The user experience is of the utmost importance, and ultimately dictates the success of any furniture piece. Think of your favourite chair at home. It probably features soft seating, padded arms and a high back for the ultimate in neck and back comfort.
With this in mind, we thought we’d give you an insight into the design process of our Trost chair.

The sustainable furniture trend is here to stay

Future-ready companies do business differently. They understand the value of working relationships, flexible working patterns, and, most importantly, the limited resources provided by the natural environment. Climate change is driving the entire planet to a dangerous global tipping point and sustainability has become a prime focus for forward thinking design.
