What to Look Out for at Clerkenwell Design Week 2025

Blog

15 May 2025

Clerkenwell Design Week is back for 2025! And while Matt – our Senior Creative Designer – has taken to lovingly calling it the ‘Glastonbury Festival of Design’, the truth is he’s been incredibly busy with the team getting our showroom experience ready. Without spoiling the surprise (you should really come down to witness the updated showroom first hand), we’ve put together a glimpse of what you can expect.

Taking place across 20th – 22nd May 2025, the atmosphere at the Clerkenwell Design Week is always electric. It’s a real celebration of creativity, with brands, designers, and the public all coming together to explore the future of design. Whether you’re discovering something new or catching up with familiar faces, there’s a real sense of excitement and openness throughout.

On that note, this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week is set to be shaped by a range of new trends. Look out for a shift towards flexibility and modularity in workspace design, along with a richer focus on softer, more domestic textures and finishes. You can also expect some bolder colours from us at Frovi as we watch the industry move away from the muted tones of previous years and towards a new trend for vibrancy and confidence.

And don’t forget, Clerkenwell Design Week is best experienced in person. Head down to our very own Clerkenwell showroom on the 20th, 21st, or 22nd of May to explore what we’ve put on.

The Updated Frovi Showroom Experience for 2025

In the lead-up to Clerkenwell Design Week, we’ve once again completely refreshed our showroom to reflect the latest design directions. Almost everything has been updated – from colour palettes and fabrics to textures and finishes – bringing a more domestic, inviting feel into commercial spaces.

A New Approach to Soft Seating

Upstairs is one of the areas we’re most excited about – so let’s begin there. Our previous arrangement is gone; in its place, we’ve created an all-new space dedicated to lounging and softer social interactions.

The aim here was to conjure an atmosphere of this being a place you’d genuinely want to sit back and relax. With the addition of our Bae sofas, we’re delighted with the way we’ve managed to showcase how contemporary workspaces can support both focus and informal connection.

Relic Social Reimagined at the Entrance

The entrance to our Clerkenwell showroom is the first area you see as you step inside – so where better to place our recently launched Relic Social? As you enter, you’ll find Relic Social taking pride of place, reimagined with a fresh, flexible approach.

Matt – our aforementioned Senior Creative Designer – has introduced curtains throughout the showroom to create adjustable zones, giving visitors a real sense of how easy it can be to reconfigure a space for different needs. Nowhere is this better showcased than with Relic Social, with the collaborative table effectively divided into two segments to capture our theme of flexible spaces and adaptable products.

A Striking, All-Black Conference Room

It was touch and go whether the new conference room space would be ready for Clerkenwell Design Week 2025, but we’re pleased to announce it made it – and it’s one of our boldest transformations yet. Painted entirely in black, it’s a sensory, focused environment, designed to remove distractions and bring conversations to the forefront.

At the heart of the conference room is a new 2.4 metre iteration of our Isle table, perfect for intimate, purposeful meetings.

Introducing the All-New Big Softie

There’s no better time to unveil a new range than during the Clerkenwell Design Week – so, keep an eye out for the launch of Big Softie this year. If the name doesn’t give it away, this is the latest product in our sofa and soft seating collection, going heavy on the luxurious comfort and style.

In our showroom, each section of Big Softie is upholstered in a different fabric – from our classic finishes to high-end, premium options. It’s all about creating comfort-led, flexible social spaces that feel warm, inviting, and human. Whether you’re after everyday practicality or a touch of indulgence, Big Softie brings a world of textures and finishes together beautifully.

What Else Is New from Frovi?

Relic Social and Big Softie may be our headline launches for Clerkenwell Design Week, but it’s far from the only innovation we’re excited to share. We’re also unveiling several new additions and evolutions across our collections, each designed to offer fresh possibilities for dynamic, agile workspaces.

Sail Sofa Low

A more relaxed take on our much-loved Sail Sofa, this new low-backed version will be available in 1, 2, and 3-seater options. With the same design DNA as the high-back original, Sail Sofa Low also features added side and back cushions for greater comfort and support. This will be a great choice for areas where partial privacy is needed, or where clear sightlines are important in open-plan environments.

Sail Booth Low

Another popular offering from our Sail range – Sail Booth – is receiving a similarly contemporary refresh. Bringing all the benefits of the high-back Sail Booth into a more open format, Sail Booth Low is designed for collaboration without full enclosure, and will be unveiled in 2, 4, and 6-seater variations. New side and back cushions will once feature once again for superior comfort.

Sail Focus Pod

The third and final addition to our Sail range for Clerkenwell Design Week 2025 is the all-new Sail Focus Pod. This takes the ethos of our Sail Booth but expands on it further, creating an enclosed pod that removes users from their surroundings. Its intimate acoustic qualities and design are the perfect solution to noisy open-plan offices, with optional add-ons including lighting and integrated power.

Isle Hexagon & Isle Circular

Our Isle collection of tables is also growing, with two great additions offering new shapes and formats. Alongside our original rectangular options, Isle Hexagon introduces a bold, geometric profile that supports dynamic layouts and flexible team interactions. Meanwhile, the new Isle Circular provides a softer, more social alternative. As with all our Isle tables, things like cable management and power integration are discretely hidden away for a seamlessly cohesive feel.

Isle Credenza

Another new addition to our Isle family, Isle Credenza will introduce sleek, integrated storage to complement our Isle Tables, using all the same materials and visual language. Whether used in private offices or shared environments, these will offer equal parts practicality and tranquil aesthetics. Integrated cable management through the back panel and surface makes it ideal for audio, visual, and conference facilities.

Bamboo

Last but not least, we’ll also be unveiling our popular Bamboo shelving range in a new MFC option, plus an array of bold monotone colours. This will deliver the same flexibility as the original but at a more accessible price point, making it suitable for cost-conscious projects. Certain versions will also feature an innovative media wall that has a whiteboard on one side and a monitor or screen on the reverse.
